To Be Good, And Do Good
All of us have read and reread in books that we all have a purpose of life. That purpose is to be good to everyone and do good for everyone even when we are in trouble. This lesson has been taught in schools and in Church, however, I learnt it after I lived for four years in Jeddah. Life there was very dull and we were in the Islamic capital of the world. We couldn’t go out with women and we didn’t have any entertainment like night clubs. Amidst such a strict lifestyle I found the true value of doing good. When we are good to people we get their emotions in return. Those emotions make us feel happy and that drives us to do more! No matter how tough life gets, what really matters is how good we are and what good we do!
To be good, and do good, is the whole duty of man comprised in a few words.
